June 13 10:30 – 13:00
😊𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗜𝗦 𝗔 𝗦𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗬😊
Description: As per Heritage Calgary, “Founded in 1892 by A.E. Cross, the Calgary Brewing and Malting Company, now Canadian Breweries Ltd., evolved as a self-contained industrial park and is now a major landmark in southeast Calgary.”
Viewing this structure from 19 AV SE, there is a real industrial and run-down feel, including a great brick smokestack from 1905.
Start sketching when you arrive. Feel free to arrive earlier if you wish. Plan to meet up at 𝟭:𝟭𝟱 to share sketches, and for a quick photo-op. If more than 10 people arrive, we will break into two groups, well distanced from each other.
Meet: 19 AV SE feels like a business road but it is in fact a city street. I think we should be able to park along the fence on the south side, or down Alyth PL SE. I picked Sunday as I hope there there will be less heavy truck traffic on this dusty road. Bring a seat!!
If you are not comfortable meeting, then you are welcome to go during the week. Send your sketch to Belinda Ramscar by noon June13. Email address listed on our web page, . jpg format preferred. Or post on our Facebook Page and I will grab it.
Inclement Weather: Event will be rescheduled to the next Sunday, June 20.
𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝗸𝘀! Must be worn when we can not maintain the proper social distance, especially when we are meeting at the end for the photo op.
Please stay home if you feel unwell, uncomfortable or are exhibiting any symptoms. https://www.alberta.ca/guidance-on-outdoor-activities.aspx
