Sketching at Wild Rose Brewery

Wild Rose Brewery Tale began in 1996. In 2006, a 1936 Quonset hut at the Currie Barracks was converted into a microbrewery, and The Taproom, AF23, was born.

12 sketchers had the unique opportunity to sketch in the back of this 1936 Quonset hut where the brewing magic happens.

Next week we sketch at Esker Foundation, Contemporary Art Gallery, 1011 9 Ave SE.  Meet at the gallery doors on the 4th floor. This will be our second visit to the Esker Foundation, which has a spectacular view over Ingelwood towards downtown. An exhibition of Katie Ohe’s sculptures will be on at the same time, and should offer some fantastic indoor subject matter as well.

Note time is Saturday,  11am-1:30pm.   Bring your stool.  Food and beverages are not allowed.  I will confirm if we are allowed open water for watercolors.

Complimentary parking is available in the Atlantic Avenue Art Block underground parkade, and can be accessed from the south side of the building. Esker will validate your parking ticket at the end of your gallery visit.
