Just back from South Australia, where I met with USk Adelaide, for a sketch meeting at one of the many central historic buildings. They were an incredibly inclusive group, who went out of their way to make sure I found the place and got settled in. They also extended an invitation to anyone else from USk Calgary in the future…
They meet twice a month on weekends, and once a month on a weekday. We sketched for about 2.1/2 hours followed by lunch in a cafe overlooking the river (every Australian city is full of independent cafe/bistros; you practically fall over them). Afterwards most people post their drawing, and there is an active comparison on line about techniques, pens, and styles…
A great time, and a trip highlight for me…
Good to see sketching groups from other parts of the world, and to hear about your warm reception.
